This is a bolt of Fushi Yuki-tsumugi, a kimono fabric, from Matsumoto, featuring a famous pattern.

It is an unused, unsewn bolt of kimono fabric.

The fabric has some slubs, giving it a natural feel. The warp and weft threads use different colors, creating a chambray-like, complex color. The base color appears gray, and the main color appears navy.

The pattern, which looks like a flower and tortoise shell design often seen on pottery, is lovely.

There are no noticeable flaws at first glance, and it is in relatively good condition.

I have checked about 1 meter of the fabric, but I have not checked the rest, so there may be some flaws. Please understand this before purchasing, as I have priced it accordingly.

How about using it luxuriously for handmade crafts or remaking projects? Personally, I make kimono remake clothes using Western tailoring techniques, and it's much easier to start with a bolt of fabric because you don't have to take apart a kimono. I recommend it.

Bolts of fabric will generally be shipped with the core removed and folded compactly.
