V. Zwanenburg Sola Netherland silver plate cup mug 1915-1922
The V. Zwanenburg Sola Netherland silver plate cup mug, pictured, was likely made between 1915 and 1922. This dating is based on the period when the Nederlandsch-Amerikaansche Stoomvaart Maatschappij (NASM), also known as the Holland America Line, commissioned these items. V. Zwanenburg was the designer and Sola the manufacturer of the cup. The cup is silver-plated and features a distinctive square logo with a cross-like design. This cup was likely used on Holland America Line ships during that era. I did do a quick polish only so you can see the markings with clarity but it is by far completed. Very rare. See pictures for details. It does have scratches but that’s to be expected with a piece this old. Great collectors piece.
