It is a variety selected from seedling mutations of native pomelo.Main characteristics:Medium tree vigor with a round or semi-round canopy and short branch intervals.The fruit is obovate with a broad top and narrow base, medium-sized, weighing between 700 to 1300 grams per fruit.The fruit surface is yellow and smooth, with relatively thin skin.The flesh is crisp, tender, juicy, and aromatic.It contains 11% to 13% soluble solids, 9.0 grams of sugar per 100 milliliters, 0.86 grams of acid per 100 milliliters, and 73.8 milligrams of vitamin C per 10 milliliters.The fruit matures in mid to late November and is either seedless or has very few seeds. Sijiyou comes in three types: seedless, red-fleshed, and white-fleshed, with the seedless and red-fleshed varieties being of the best quality.
